Padma Srimatkandada, MBA, BS
System Operations Team Leader, Student Affairs IT, UCONN, Storrs, CT – Padma heads the University’s Technical Support and Helpdesk Staff, providing services to over 20 departments throughout the Storrs Campus. She oversees a wide range of IT-related and customer service functions encompassing everything from student affairs to medical and food services— serving more than 750 workstations and residing on over 150 servers. Additionally, Padma conducts periodic analysis and oversees data migrations, and is fluent in a wide range of technologies, computer languages, operating systems and applications.
In addition to her active role with the Arts For Learning Connecticut’s Board of Directors, Padma spent five years designing and developing workshop materials at UCONN’s School Of Engineering, for teaching junior high school girls about computer malware and Internet safety and security issues.
Until recently, Padma served as a System Administrator for UCONN since 2001, and also as a Student Support (ResNet/HuskyTech) Coordinator from 2004-2007.
Padma earned her MBA at The University of Connecticut’s Hartford Campus, maintaining a GPA of 3.8—prior to which she received her Bachelor’s Degree of Science and Engineering in Computer Sciences. She did her undergraduate work at UCONN’s Storrs, CT Campus. Additionally, Padma holds an Advanced Business Certificate in Project Management from UCONN.
