Mike Kachuba

Associate Director, Arts For Learning Connecticut – Over the course of his professional life, Mike has been a zoologist, serving at other times as a science teacher, as well as a teaching artist. Mike is also a multi-instrumental musician and performer.

Mike’s eclectic career uniquely qualifies him to address the diverse needs of the students, educators, disabled citizens and other members of the communities that AFLCT serves, statewide.

Mike joined Arts For Learning Connecticut in 1997 as both a performing and teaching artist. Over the past two decades, he first became AFLCT’s Education Manager, then its Associate Director.

Mike was honored as Connecticut’s 1996 State Troubadour and performs regularly with The Bedlam Brothers String Band. Additionally, he provides therapeutic music sessions for patients at CT Children’s Medical Center.
