In addition to his extensive work in the field of music production, Marcus has toured with superstar Ne-Yo as a keyboard player. He has taught piano at Neighborhood Studios in Bridgeport, where he has also taught Music Production and Jazz Ensemble. Universal Sound (Nate Barnes and Marcus Allen) love to produce music! More importantly, they love to teach others how to produce music. Using digital music programs such as Soundation, Nate and Marcus transform a classroom into a virtual sound studio, helping students lay down beats and create lyrics to produce their songs from a concept to a cd. In addition to music production, students will learn what talent representatives for major record labels look for in new music artists. Nate and Marcus will lead students through a series of exercises in critical listening skills and help them to better identify what qualities are necessary to become a star in the music industry today.
