Lou DelBianco is a talented theatre artist who truly becomes his grandfather, Luigi DelBianco who was instrumental in the making of Mount Rushmore and also becomes Abe Lincoln right before your eyes.
Make a Good Choice
Through original songs, stories and audience interaction, this Parents Choice Award winner takes his audience on an exciting journey back through his childhood sharing the daily joys, dreams and blunders that today’s kids can relate to, laugh at, and understand. Children will get the chance to decide what kinds of choices they would make if they were in Lou’s shoes and how those choices reflect on their own lives. The entire assembly is strung together with a cool rap tune that tells students to “Make a Good Choice!”… and what’s more, this unique program can touch upon any Character Ed themes that your school or community want to stress and will work them in to the program! Abraham Lincoln: “From Rail-Splitter to President”(Grades PK-5, 6-8)
In this 45 minute dramatic program, actor-storyteller Lou Del Bianco portrays Lincoln as Civil War President, frontiersman and storyteller. Lincoln’s values…..honesty, love of family, thirst for education, sense of justice and perseverance shine through this dynamic presentation. Authentic historical quotations are used throughout; handout available for teachers. Endorsed by the Lincoln Bicentennial Commission.
Pilamaya Ye’ (Thank You)

ilamaya Ye’ (Thank you in Lakota) is a program of music and legends celebrating native American philosophy toward the earth and its community. Lou brings children onstage to perform Native American stories and songs about the things we have been given, for “the earth doesn’t belong to us, we belong to the earth”. Students will leave Pilamaya Ye’ inspired to follow the paths that the original people lived everyday. A character ed and environmental program filled with interaction, participation and reflection.

Lou’s Thanksgiving Show
Through storytelling and song, children will learn what the Pilgrims and the Native Americans meant by being “thankful”. In this 45 minute program, authentic Indian legends as well as folk songs handed down from our earliest settlers will be shared by all! Children will get a chance to say what they’re “thankful” for. Both educational and fun, with lots of participation.

In the Shadow of the Mountain ( Grades K-8)
“During Lou Del Bianco’s touching tribute performance to his grandfather, the students and teachers were brought back in time to experience the creation of one of our country’s greatest monuments, Mount Rushmore. He immediately grabbed the attention of every student. In addition to learning the history of Mt. Rushmore, students also learned about Italian culture, immigration, and geography through the eyes of “Luigi”. It was an overall moving performance with Lou Del Bianco at his finest!”
In this 40 minute presentation, storyteller Lou Del Bianco portrays his grandfather Luigi Del Bianco and tells the story of his unique contribution to the carving of our nation’s greatest memorial. Lou uses authentic photos, maps and timelines to bring Luigi’s story to life! Connects perfectly to Social Studies curriculum and primary source research.
