Take a wild trip with Antonio into the jungles of Brazil and Africa. Antonio draws from his repertoire of animal tales with an ecological theme and a myriad of fantastic sound effects which will entertain and educate.
Antonio performs tales from around the world with his signature moves and sound effects. This culturally diverse show not only entertains but also addresses matters of communication, self esteem, conflict resolution and respect.

About the Artist

Antonio Rocha, storyteller, mime and now author of a children’s book, began his career in the performing arts in 1985. In 1988 he received a Partners of the Americas grant to come to the USA from Brazil to perform and deepen his mime skills with Master Tony Montanaro. Since then he has earned a Summa Cum Laude Theater BA from the University of Southern Maine and studied with Master Marcel Marceau. Mr. Rocha’s unique blend of verbal narrative and mime has received awards and  he has been invited to venues such as the National Storytelling Festival, The Kennedy Center, The Graz Festival in Austria, The Dunya Festival in The Netherlands,  The Singapore Festival of Arts,  The Rio de Janeiro Storytelling Festival and Conference, The Ljungby Festival in Sweden and many more from Canada to Japan in  fourteen  countries on six continents.  Mr. Rocha is a member of the Maine Arts Commission, The National Storytelling Association, The League for the Advancement of New England Storytelling and is in the roster of Cirque du Soleil.

Jungle Tales (Grades K-6)

Crossroads (Grades K-8)

Antonio performs tales from around the world with his signature moves and sound effects. This culturally diverse show not only entertains but also addresses matters of communication, self esteem, conflict resolution and respect. Teachers and sponsors can discuss with Antonio repertoire content to better fit curriculum.

Length: 45 minutes

Single:  $715 (only if combined with another school performance in the vicinity)

Back to Back Performances: $905

Three Performances in the same school: $1,200 (If a school schedules two in the morning and a third school in the same area schedules one for the afternoon then the fee structure is Back to Back plus a single, totaling $1,530)
