Anne Witkavitch, MFA

Communications Strategist, Published Writer and Professional Speaker – Anne has held leadership roles in corporate communications with several Fortune 100 Companies, notably General Electric. While at GE, she served on the Global Board of Directors for the company’s volunteer organization and advised the regional chapter of the Women’s Network.

Anne’s book, Press Pause Moments: Essays about Life Transitions by Women Writers received a Clarion Award in 2011. As an author, editor of several anthologies and contributor to numerous magazines and blogs, Anne brings a writer’s perspective to the Board of Arts For Learning Connecticut.

Anne has served on the boards of Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Fairfield County and the American Society of Quality Control. She holds an MFA in Creative and Professional Writing and teaches writing at Western Connecticut State University.

Anne lives in Bethany with her family. She is an avid walker and swimmer, and an advocate for education, the arts, literacy, diversity and inclusion.
